Stanley County, South Dakota

Stanley County is located in western South Dakota. It is named for David S. Stanley, a Union Army General.
The seat and largest city are both Fort Pierre.
Stanley County borders Dewey, Sully, Hughes, Lyman, Jones and Haakon Counties.
Main highways through the county include US-14, US-83, SD-34 and SD-63.
